OHN EIC LAID OFF

Yes, it's true dear readership. The economic downturn has taken it's toll on your's truly, the EIC of OHN. For over five years the EIC survived layoff after layoff as the customer base began to dwindle, but alas all good things must come to an end.

Truly though, it was time to move on. Long ago actually, and there's no need to cry over spilled milk. Your humble EIC hung in there for as long as he could, till the company could no longer afford his services as a dba/developer. This does force the EIC to open his mind to new career possibilities, and some are actually exciting! 'Twould be very nice to get his paws firmly planted again in a company with lots of very large servers dishing up tons of mission critical data every second! Even your humble EIC gets to daydream of such things, you know.

The future for your EIC is now uncertain, and it is questionable as to whether or not he will be able to maintain this fine publication on the pittance recieved through unemployment. But even if the unmentionable should occur, the EIC makes a pledge here and now. . .
